Who processes your data

The data controller is the owner of arraigate.com. You can get in touch about any privacy matter at hola@arraigate.com.

What data we collect and for what purpose

Arraigate works without registration to use the finder. We process personal data in these cases:
  • Use of the finder. The answers about your situation (nationality, administrative status, time in Spain, family ties, etc.) are processed at that moment to guide you on the immigration routes that might apply to you. We store those answers in an aggregated and non-identifying way (we do not ask for your name, ID document or email to use the finder) for the sole purpose of obtaining statistics and improving the service.
  • Account and email (optional). If you register or leave us your email, we store that address to give you access to your account and, where applicable, to send you communications you have requested. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Legal basis

Sending communications by email and creating an account are based on your consent (art. 6.1.a of the GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time. The aggregated statistical processing of finder usage is based on our legitimate interest in improving the service, without identifying you.

Cookies and analytics

We use only strictly necessary technical cookies (for example, to keep your session if you access your account). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, which is why we do not display any cookie notice.

To understand how the website is used, we measure visits with a self-hosted, anonymous analytics system: it installs no cookies, does not track people across websites and the IP address is stored in an anonymised way (without the last group), so it cannot identify you. We only obtain aggregated statistics (page views, source and the like) to improve the service.

For how long

We keep your email for as long as you maintain the account or subscription. If you unsubscribe or request it, we delete your data. The finder usage statistics are kept in an aggregated and anonymous form.

Who we share data with

We do not sell or transfer your data. We rely on providers that act as data processors (site hosting and, where applicable, email delivery), which process the data following our instructions and the applicable regulations.

Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to us at hola@arraigate.com. If you have subscribed, you can also unsubscribe from the link in each email or on the subscription unsubscribe page. If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).

Important notice

Arraigate is an informational and independent tool. It is not an official body, does not provide legal advice and does not handle the processing of any immigration file. Always confirm your case with the competent Administration or with a professional (lawyer or gestor).
